TARION
Tarion Warranty Corporation is the new name for the Ontario New
Home Warranty Program. Their new name is just one of the changes
they've made to make your new home warranty protection and service
better than ever. Tarion is a private corporation that was established
in 1976 to protect the rights of new home buyers and regulate new
home builders. Tarion
Warranty Corporation is responsible for administering the Ontario
New Home Warranties Plan Act, which outlines the warranty protection
that new home and condominium builders must provide, by law, to
their customers.

ONTARIO
The Ontario Home Builders' Association was formed in 1962 with 10
locals to give residential builders a voice in the provincial government,
facilitate changes in the industry, and provide links among home-building
businesses, suppliers and services. Now, it is comprised of an Executive
Committee, Board of Directors, and nine different committees. It
has 31 locals and 3500 members.
